Moody Style: Gold Dots

Now that we have cooler temperatures here in Florida, I’ve been all about layering lately.  Nothing keeps me warmer on a chilly day than either a wool coat, a down vest or a plaid blanket scarf like the one I’m wearing here.  The oversized style and soft fabric makes this scarf one of the coziest scarves in my closet. I love it so much that I bought it in several colors.  If you’re obsessed with this scarf like I am – check out my previous posts on plaid blanket scarves here.  I paired the scarf with a gold polka dot sweater that I searched long and hard for in the beginning of last year.  And I’m so glad that I did because it turned out to be a perfect match with just about anything that I wear with it.  I also added a chambray shirt, a pair of dark rinse jeans and leopard flats to complete this casual look for any time of day.  What are some of your favorite items in your closet? Happy New Year!

I’m so late with uploading my first post of 2015!  How is everyone's new year going so far? Did you have a fun New Year’s Eve? I rang in the New Year with my sister and some new friends by the riverfront in downtown Jacksonville.  We had a blast dancing the night away in a couple of bars too.  I would have to say it was one of the best New Year’s Eve celebrations that I’ve had in a while.  

So, I normally have a list of New Year’s resolutions, but this year I decided to focus on one resolution.  Have you ever heard of She Reads Truth? If not, I am so happy to introduce you to this site. I found the #shereadstruth tag on Instagram last year and I instantly started following the group. She Reads Truth is a online bible study run by a group of women committed to growing closer to Jesus and reading God’s Word together.  I decided this year that I’m going to focus more on my relationship with God.  I downloaded the app to my iPhone so I can participate in a bible study even when I’m traveling.  They have fantastic reading plans and they seem like they are going to fit into my life perfectly.

Happy New Year’s Eve from Florida! I can’t believe it’s already time to ring in a new year.  Woah - 2015!!! Where is the time going? I hope that you all had an amazing holiday with your loved ones.   I’m just getting back home from visiting with my family and I just realized that I never posted any outfit pictures on my blog for the entire month.  So, here is a quick post with my last outfit for the year.   I hope that you all have a fun and safe New Year's Eve!
