I took a quick trip New York this past weekend to
support and celebrate my aunt’s retirement from her nursing career. I’m so proud of her and her accomplishments. I can only hope and pray that I will be able
to retire when I get older. My aunt has
been a nurse for over 30+ years and she’s finally going to start taking it easy,
which is well overdue. She is very
excited about retiring because she has big plans for the future. One of her plans that I love is that she wants
to become a tourist in her own city. She’s
lived in Staten Island for years but she doesn’t know Manhattan and some of the
other boroughs. I can’t wait to hear about
some of her adventures. Even though I’ve
been to NY many times, I still enjoy doing some of the touristy things in the
city especially around the holidays. Do you have any favorite things to do in
New York? Let me know in the comments! Some of you may have seen a few pictures on
Instagram, but here are more pictures from this weekend below.

ReplyDeleteI admit, having grown up in NYC, I know very little of Brooklyn, Staten Island or the Bronx. Not living there now, I enjoy going home and playing tourist myself.
