Fresh Picks to Follow – Shine, Shimmer and Sparkle

Happy Friday everyone!  For my last Fresh Picks to Follow for the year, I thought this week’s theme should center around all things that shimmer.  Glitter, sequins, and anything that sparkles are all expected on New Years Eve. With all of the shine and shimmer, there are so many possibilities for outfits for any type of New Years party.  You can pair a sequin jacket with a knit top and jeans, or pair a sequined skirt or pants with a fitted sweater, or just add a blazer to a sequined dress.  Do you all have your outfits planned for New Years Eve?  If not, check out this week’s Fresh Picks to Follow.  Here are my top ten ways for you to shine and sparkle into the new year.  Let me know what you think or if you have any additional suggestions.

Here are my top 10 favorite Anthropologie items that I acquired in 2011.  These are my favorites that made it into my closet along with a dozen other things. I bought way too many things this year.  I truly don’t need to add much more to my closet.  I’ll have to get on a serious clothing budget next year.  Anyways, here are my top 10 Anthro items:

Moody Style: All Wrapped Up

I just wanted to share a quick picture of an outfit that I wore a couple of weeks ago.  I’m a big fan of wrap dresses and I have several of them from Banana Republic so far.  Last week I posted that I wanted the Gemma dress from BR in a bluish purple color for Christmas.  Unfortunately, I didn’t get it yet.  I’ll have to track it down in the stores or just buy it online before they are all gone.  My wrap dresses are my go to dress when I can’t figure out what to wear to work.  There are so many ways to accessorize this dress any where from adding tights, boots or just adding a blazer.  Do you have a favorite dress that you can’t live without?  What’s your go to item in your closet?  Let me know.

Fresh Picks to Follow - Holiday Gifts under $100.00

How was your Christmas? Did you get everything you wanted? I had a wonderful Christmas with my family.  I ate lots of Caribbean food, laughed and played games with my family, and earlier today I caught up with some really good friends.  I couldn’t have asked for a better holiday.  I can’t wait to catch up on some of my favorite bloggers to see how they spent their holidays.  I plan to post an update this week about some of the goodies that I got from Santa.

Moody Style: Christmas Spirit

I’m officially on vacation until January 3rd 2012 and I’m so excited.  I can’t wait to go to my mom’s house tomorrow to be with the rest of my family.  There’s going to be lots of eating, drinking and laughing.  And hopefully I’ll be taking lots of pictures (hint, hint). Now that I’m finished running around to crowded stores buying my last minute presents, I’m finally feeling the Christmas spirit. Crowded stores, rude people and long lines really put a damper on the holiday experience.  I was super stressed the past few days because of work and trying to get everything done before I left town.  Now I can chill out, relax and enjoy the holidays!  Anyways, I just wanted to take a break from packing, cleaning and wrapping presents to post a quick pic of an outfit from earlier this week. I’m not sure I needed the belt, but I wore it anyways. Let me know what you think.

Dear Santa

There are only 4 days left until Christmas and I have a short list for Santa that I wanted to share with you all.  I don’t really need much these days.  I’m pretty settled in the clothes department…Anthropologie has made sure of that for sure.  Also, ever since I got my Mac Book Pro last month, I’m pretty content.   The only thing that I really want is a new camera.  I’ve wanted one for over a year now and it’s about time for an upgrade.  The camera that I have now is a digital camera with 5.0 megapixels.  I would love to upgrade my photos on my blog and my personal pictures of my family and friends.  I think that I’ve been a good girl this year, so hopefully Santa will read my list and grant my wish.  Anyways, here are a few things on my wish list (in no specific order):  1) Banana Republic - Gemma Wrap Dress; 2) Incase - Neoprene Sleeve; 3) Banana Republic – Patent Skinny Belt; 4) Canon - EOS Digital Rebel T3; and 5) Coach - Pave Stud Earrings.  Did you create a list for Santa this year?  What’s the number one item on your list?

xoxo Natasha
