Moody Style: Salut and Cheers

Cheers everyone!  I don’t know about you all, but I haven’t always been a big fan of wearing graphic t-shirts.  In fact, I didn’t really own any of them besides few a sports paraphernalia pieces. However over the past few months, my graphic t-shirt collection has grown a little bit all thanks to J.Crew.  Unfortunately, I missed out on the Kiss Tee, the Hello Tee and the Thanks Tee, but was able to snag the Cheers Tee as soon as it went on sale.  I love these graphic shirts because they are super soft and perfect to layer in cooler weather or wear alone when it warms up.  I also think that they are timeless pieces that anyone can wear. How do you feel about wearing graphic tees? Do you have any favorites from J.Crew or any other stores? Let me know in the comments.

Moody Style: Oh January

As you already know, the weather this year has been a little crazy due to the nationwide artic blast otherwise known as the polar vortex. I have to admit, it gets pretty cold here in Florida every now and then, but these past few days have been the worst its ever been. Days like this I’m really thankful that I live in a “warm” state.  I can’t even imagine what it would be like up north or in the Midwest right now.  I know that I wouldn’t do well in negative temperatures and lots of snow.  Even though we do not know what the weather has in store for us for the rest of January, all we can do is dress for occasion.  The key for this month is layers and lots of them.  I have to say, despite the extreme cold weather, I do love the fact that I have the opportunity to wear some of my cold weather pieces.  My coats and vests don’t get too much action throughout the year.  Are you all surviving the polar vortex?  What have been some of your go to pieces this week?  Let me know in the comments.

2013: Year in Review

Happy New Year Everyone!

Does anyone else feel like 2013 came and went too quickly? I guess the saying is true - time really does fly by when you’re having fun.  Although I didn’t post regularly towards the end of the year, I’ve really enjoyed writing this blog over the past three years. I love sharing the latest styles and trends with all of you guys just as much as I love learning from all of you. Thank you all so very much for your support and your comments, emails, Facebook likes, Twitter and Instagram follows.
I spent a little time today looking back through everything I've shared with you in 2013. Below is a snapshot of the past year on Moody Girl In Style, reviewed in pictures. Hopefully this time next year, I’ll have much more to write about than just my favorite outfits in a year in review.

I hope that this year brings you joy, happiness, good health, success and lots of love.  I can't wait to see what’s in store for us all.  Thanks again for reading and enjoy!!!

Moody Style: Holiday Dressing

Don’t forget to enter the Moody Girl Holiday Giveaway (here).

I originally bought this little J.Crew dress for work, but I quickly realized that it’s a perfect dress for any occasion.  Especially when you add a gorgeous piece of jewelry to complete the look.  One of the sales associates even suggested adding a leopard belt to the dress for a different look, but I thought it might have been a little too much with the necklace.  What do you think?  Do you have any favorite go to outfits or looks for this holiday season?  I’m pretty much a sucker for lots of glitz, sequins and plaids right now.  I’m pretty sure I’ll be incorporating all of these trends over the next couple of weeks.  What are some of your favorite holiday trends this season?  Let me know in the comments.
