Holiday Gift Guide for the Hostess

How many of you have gone to someone’s house for a dinner or housewarming party with the traditional bottle of wine, candle or a small houseplant?  I know that I'm totally guilty of doing this myself.  Giving a host or hostess a gift is a great way to show a little token of gratitude.  I’ve always been taught that you shouldn’t go to someone’s house empty handed.  Now I don’t bring a gift every time I visit a friends’ home, but I definitely try to follow Emily Posts etiquette rule during special occasions.
