Moody Style: Dreamy and Drapey

Hiya everyone!  I’ve been a little behind with everything in my life and unfortunately my little blog has been taking the backseat.  Recently, one of my co-workers left my office and instead of hiring a replacement, the management team decided to double my workload. I’ve been working a ton more hours lately, so by the time I get home from work all I want to do is shower, eat and go to bed.  My only sanity these days have been my races and working out at the gym.  I’m hoping that things will look up soon for me.  There is one bright side to me being exhausted, I’ve been able to sleep and dream of a better, happier tomorrow.  Have any of you taken on extra responsibilities at work in the past several months? How do you handle your stress from work?

  1. Wow, that dress looks great on you! Love it!

Yes, I can definitely relate to you regarding an increase in workload. These past few months, I have been going in early, staying late, going in on weekends, etc. For me, the worst part about it is feeling like my job is my whole life! It is definitely not something I could do long-term. Recently, I have been working on setting boundaries (only staying late X number of nights) and relaxing activities (yoga, mani/pedi, reading, etc.). Hang in there!

    1. I know what you mean Kristin...I have been doing the same thing. The only good thing about my extra hours is that I've been earning a lot of comp time. I also need to start setting some boundaries - I'm going to work on that this week.

  2. This dress seriously looks gorgeous on you Natasha!! I'm sorry to hear about the work overload. Hopefully they will hire someone soon. That's great that your working out and running to help manage the stress. I find the working out is the key to releasing stress myself. I hope you have a great stress-less weekend :)

    1. Thanks Sayaka. Unfortunately, my office doesn't plan to hire anyone else, so I'm stuck. I'll just continue to run like a crazy person for a few months :)

  3. This dress looks amazing on you Natasha!!! You look great! Sorry to hear about your work situation- it happens all too often, especially now, it seems. With no funding at my job, if anyone leaves we're SOL......but that being said, I'm leaving so...lol
