Today is the last day for the Tory Burch Fall Event sale. If you spend $250, you’ll receive an extra 30%
off sitewide when you use the code FALL16.
It’s a pretty amazing sale and I really don’t want you to miss out on it. So,
I’ve put together a quick list of some of my favorite handbags and
other accessories that are still available. I thought I was
going to do more damage with this sale, but I only purchased the Thea Mini Bag. It’s been on my wish
list for the longest time, so I had to pull the trigger. Have you guys bought
anything from the sale yet? Let me know in the comments.

In the Mood – J.Crew New Arrivals (October 2016)
Have you all checked out the new arrivals at J.Crew yet? I hopped
into the store earlier this week on my lunch break to see the new arrivals in
person, but I didn’t have a chance to try anything on yet. However, I did manage to walk out with this Perfect Shirt because I’m obsessed with
the colors in this plaid pattern. I can’t wait to wear it. I’m also really loving the Rhodes Blazer in Houndstooth Wool – I mean
those elbow patches are just perfect. The
next item on my list of things to buy is the love the houndstooth pattern and
the elbow patches are just perfect. I
also think the Combo Tweed Dress is just darling for fall. I’ll have to
order it soon so I can try it on because I don’t think my store will get it in
stock. Are you guys excited about the
new fall additions? Which items are you most likely to buy? My favorites items
from J.Crew are pictured below and
I’m sure they will put you all in a good
mood! Check them out and let me know what you’re loving this month.

In the Mood: Splurge, Save, Steal (Fall’s Hottest Trends)
I’m not sure about you guys,
but I constantly find myself going back and forth
on whether I should just save up the money and splurge on big ticket items like a $2500 purse or a $500 pair of sunglasses or save my money and just buy the cheaper and more affordable
version! It sure would
be great to not have to worry about money and splurge when you want to, but
this is the real world. And 9 times out
of 10, I just focus on finding the best dupes I can find. So today, I thought I would share some of my
favorite “look for less” options with you all.
One of my favorite deals is this saddle bag from TJ Maxx mostly
because its almost identical to the Chloe version. And how great are these scalloped ballet flats for $43? They
look just like the $495 ones here. I don’t’ think I’ve ever paid over $75 for a pair of jeans
before, so I don’t understand paying $245 for these designer jeans. Now if they
go on sale and the price is reasonable, then I’ll definitely pick them up.
Lately, my go-to place for jeans is Old Navy since they sell for under $50. In my opinion, designer sunglasses are way too expensive to buy at full price especially since
people tend to lose them or break them so easily. Lately, I’ve been buying affordable cat eye sunglasses like this one HERE, this one HERE and I have my eye on this one HERE. They are still stylish and I save a ton of money. I have a utility vest from Old Navy from forever ago, but this one
HERE is a great alternative to this Rag & Bone vest.
What are your thoughts on
splurging vs. saving? Would you rather save up and buy the name brand or steal
and get the look for way less? Also, let me know if you like to see more splurge, save or steal posts on my
blog. I had fun putting this together for you all.
Row 1: Chloe Lauren Scalloped Ballet Flat, Sam Edelman Francis Flat,
Athena Alexander Toffy Ballet Flat
Row 2: Chloe Hudson Small Shoulder Bag, Sam Edelman Heidi Saddle Bag, Antik Kraft Studded Tassel Saddle Bag
Row 4: Rag & Bone Bennet Cotton Utility Vest, Gap Tencel Utility Vest, Maison Jules Zip-Front Utility Vest

In the Mood – J.Crew New Arrivals (Fall 2016)
Pink, pink and more pink! J.Crew definitely wants all of us to
think pink this fall. I finally had a
chance to see the new arrivals in person at J.Crew today and I actually tried on a few pieces as well. I’ll share my fitting room tryons in a later
post, so stay tuned. I was pretty
excited to see so many beautiful shades of pink sprinkled throughout the
store. I wanted to try everything on as
soon as I walked in. Every shop had
something for everyone – bold bright colors, paisley prints, a beautiful
leopard pattern, subtle ruffles here and there and even a little glitter. To
stay that I love the fall collection is an understatement. I literally want to buy everything right now. One of the first things I plan to buy is the
Margot Top in airy cotton pique. This
top reminds me of some of the older J.Crew pieces that you’ll never get tired of seeing.
Another item that’s at the top of my list is the Cuffed-Sleeve Top in
leopard print. This timeless top is a great
statement piece that you can pair up with just about anything - remember
leopard is a neutral. And last, but
not least, I don't want to miss out on the Rhodes Blazer in Italian Wool.
The wild flamingo color is
pretty spectacular. I didn’t know what
to expect when I saw it online, but in person the color is just wow. It’s not too bright nor is it too dark. The color has just the right amount of cool
tones in it to make it the perfect pop of color for fall.
Are you guys excited about this new
collection? Which items are you most
likely to buy? Have you checked out the
latest catalog yet? I didn’t get a copy
in the mail, but I did check out J.Crew’s Pinterest board for some pinspiration.
Well, my favorite items from J.Crew are pictured below and I’m sure they will put you all in a good mood! Check them out and
let me know what you’re loving this month.

In The Mood: Guide To Shopping The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale
We are
only a few days away from one of my favorite sales of the year - the Nordstrom
Anniversary Sale.
WHAT’S
THE NORDSTROM ANNIVERSARY SALE?
I have to
admit, two years ago I didn’t really understand all of the fuss over the
Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, but now I’m completely hooked.
The Anniversary sale is Nordstrom’s biggest sale that they
offer only once a year. They add brand
new fall styles to their inventory and mark it down for a limited time. So you can shop for next season’s on-trend fashion
picks right now for seriously discounted prices.
The
prices at the Anniversary Sale are typically the lowest we will see on select
items from brands like Rebecca Minkoff, Rag & Bone, Joie, Treasure &
Bond, Zella, Nike and so many more. And once these items sell out, they are
generally gone because Nordstrom will only stock a limited quantities for the
sale.
WHEN CAN
I SHOP?
The Anniversary Sale officially starts July 22nd and it ends on August 7th. However, if you are a Nordstrom cardholder,
you can shop the sale early from July 14th through July 21st.
Not a Nordstrom cardholder? If you don’t
want to miss out on some good deals, then I highly suggest you register for one
now. You have the option of choosing between opening up a Nordstrom credit card
or opening up a Nordstrom debit card. I personally chose to open a Nordstrom
debit card because I don’t have to worry about paying off another bill and I
can still earn points. You can click HERE to get your own.
HERE’S A
FULL LIST OF IMPORTANT DATES:
July 14th
| Early Access for Nordstrom Cardholders Only
July 22nd
| Anniversary Sale Open to the Public
August
7th | Last Day to Shop
August
8th | Prices Go Back to Full Price
WHAT’S ON
SALE?
As I
mentioned before, there are select items on sale from brands like Rebecca
Minkoff, Rag & Bone, Joie, Treasure & Bond, Zella, Nike and so many more. If you want more details, then check out some of the items that are going to be
on sale in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2016 Catalog HERE. Keep in mind, the catalog only shows at least half of
the items that will actually be on sale!
I love
this sale because it’s the best time to start thinking about my fall wardrobe. Here are five things I’m hoping to add to my closet this fall: a lightweight
jacket or sweater coat, a pair of over-the-knee boots, a classic pair of skinny
jeans, a neutral handbag and a timeless piece of jewelry. Can't wait to start shopping!
Are you
all excited and ready for the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale? Do you plan to do any shopping this year? Let me know what you're hoping to buy or what items you have on your wish list in the comments below!
