Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Public Access and 50 Items Under $50

Happy Wednesday Friends! I'm so happy to announce that the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is finally open to the public as of this morning at 9:30 AM (EST).  So there is no need for you to open a Nordstrom Card to shop the SALE! And even though a lot of items are currently sold out, there are still some amazing finds that are fully stocked and on sale for a great price. In today’s post, I’m focusing on the sharing my favorite sale items that are under $50! Be sure to check out my previous blog posts where you can find all of my Nordstrom Anniversary Sale picks and shop everything #NSale related here.

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2020 - Top 10 Picks

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Early Access is finally opening up to Nordstrom Insiders today at 9:30am EST.  Which means that if you are a Nordstrom cardholder, then you can shop the sale before the public on August 19th and snag some new fall finds.  And don't worry about items that are already sold out, some of them may be restocked or returned by other customers in the coming days/weeks.  Anyways, I just wanted to put together a quick top 10 list of some of my favorite picks that is currently available and reasonably priced.  If you aren't able to shop the sale yet, then you can reference this post when you are ready. Let me know what you guys think about the Anniversary Sale so far.  Are you planning on doing any shopping this year.  What are some of your favorites?

1. Spanx Faux Leather Leggings (Sale: $64.90 | After Sale: $98) These are the best faux leather leggings out there and definitely the most popular.  These leggings rarely go on sale, so this is the best time to buy them. I bought my first pair a couple of years ago and they really are worth the money.  I would recommend going up one size for the most comfortable fit.

2. Wit & Wisdom Ab-Solution Skinny Jeans (Sale $44.90 | After Sale $68) I bought these jeans during the last sale and I love how comfortable they are.  They have an elastic waistband build inside so you don't have to wear a belt or keep pulling them up. They are an awesome deal for under $50 and there are several different washes available here

3. Cozy Long Cardigan (Sale: $39.90 | After Sale: $69) This cardigan looks so cozy and soft.  This will be a great transition piece to add to any outfit.  It's available in 8 colors and runs true to size.

4. Oversized V-Neck High/Low Sweater (Sale: $45.90 | After Sale: $69) I just ordered this sweater in the beige oatmeal color to wear them with leggings. It may be a little oversized, but I went with my normal size.

5. Tory Burch Circle Logo Stud Earrings (Sale: $46.90 | After Sale: $78) I've always wanted a pair of these earrings, so I had to grab these since they were on sale.  These would make a perfect gift for the holidays or one to keep for yourself.  And there's also a matching necklace available if you don't like the earrings.

6. Tory Burch Carson Convertible Leather Crossbody Bag (Sale $299.90 | After Sale: $498) I love the versatility of being able to wear this bag as a crossbody or as a shoulder bag. This bag is really cute and seams functional - a great bag to wear during the fall/winter season.  If this purse isn't your thing, then check out all of the other handbags available here. There are lots of great options if you're looking for a new bag.

7. Plaid One-Button Blazer (Sale: $65.90 | After Sale: $99) This blazer was one of the first things that caught my eye once the preview opened up.  It's a boyfriend fit so it's slightly oversized, so you may need to size down one depending on your frame.  I love that the plaid is neutral and a little muted. It will be easy to pair up with many items in your wardrobe. This one also comes in a plus size

8. Moonlight Dream Short Pajamas (Sale: $29.90 | After Sale: $49) This pajama set is a top seller from the sale every year.  They are super soft, breathable and they hold up very well in the wash. I tend to wear the pant set more just because I get cold easily and they are just as great.

9. Bliss Plush Throw (Sale: 24.90 | After Sale: $35.50) This throw is so soft and luxurious that it seems a lot more expensive than what it is.  This throw is priced perfectly for the sale, so everyone can grab one.  I have 2 of these at home and I've also bought these in the past for  Christmas gifts.

10. Gradina Block Heel Bootie (Sale: $99.90 | After Sale: $149.95) I'm so happy that they brought these booties back even though they are slight different than last year.  These were a top seller last year and one of my favorite purchases from the sale. I love the cut out style and the heel is pretty reasonable.  It comes in several other colors and even a couple snakeskin prints.

Nordstrom Anniversary Outfits Ideas and What I Bought

Happy Monday! The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is now open to the next level of cardholders and I'll finally be to shop today.  I'm sharing a few of the items that I bought already and some that are on my wishlist.  I also put together a few outfit ideas for you if you're thinking about grabbing anything during the sale. If you are still waiting to shop the sale, then you can save some of these items to your wishlist.  It makes it super easy for you to stay organized and add everything to your cart for check out.  And don't worry if you see that some things are sold out, some items may get restocked or eventually returned from other customers.  I hope that you have fun shopping the sale and that you're able to get everything on your list.

And you save up to 40% off discounts on brands like SPANX, Sam Edelman, Tory Burch, Free People, Madewell, North Face and so much more!  Just like last year, I want to give you all a quick run-down of all of the details that you need to know to be fully prepared to shop without any hassles.

Nordstrom is doing things a little differently this year due to the COVID-19 situation.  Instead of canceling the event altogether, they decided to push the date back until August 19th.  And they added more time to shop for their loyal cardholders.  Here is the timeline for cardmember access and you can find out your access level by logging into your Nordstrom account.

The best way to shop the sale before everything sells out is making sure that you have Early Access.  Nordstrom Cardholders have the opportunity to shop the sale about 2 weeks earlier than everyone else. But don't worry if you don't have a Nordstrom card, because the sale is open to the public on August 19th and some of the item will be restocked.

If you don’t already have a Nordstrom Credit Card, then you will need to sign up here to gain early access. And if you apply for the Nordstrom Card before July 10th, then you will get a $60 bonus note that can be used at a later time.

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale can be very overwhelming, especially if you don’t have a plan in place.  I think number one thing that you should do is to assess your fall wardrobe and make a list of items that you need to add/replace in your closet. And the second thing that would be helpful is to set an overall budget for yourself.  It’s super easy to get swept up in the excitement of the sale, believe me I know.  I’ve bought and returned a plenty of items in the past that weren’t within my budget and that I ultimately didn’t need.

Pro Tip: Buy Now, Return Later - With that being said, don’t be afraid to order multiples sizes since some items sell out really fast and the shipping/return is free.  Be sure to focus on items that you use regularly and take advantage of stocking up on wardrobe basics and any home items.  This is also a good time to start thinking of holiday gifts.

The best way to get ready for the sale and to know what's included in the sale is to take a sneak peek of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2020 Preview! This virtual catalog will make it easier to review and shop all of the items that are available and you can save all of your favorites to your wishlist. Having all of the items in your wishlist will make it easier to check out when you're ready. Here are my top picks that I have my eye on so far.  Some of them I already own and there are few already on my wishlist:

I’ve been shopping the Anniversary Sale for a few years now and I’ve noticed that Nordstrom tends to bring back some of the same items.  They may tweek an item here and there, but for the most part some are the same like these High-waisted Zella Leggings, this super soft Plush Throw, the Spanx Faux Leather Leggings, this Madewell Kent Cardigan Sweater and the infamous Barefoot Dreams In the Wild Throw.

This year I plan to be very focused on things that I need to replace in my closet and a few items that I missed out on last year.  I plan to look for a really good pair of jeans, a couple of sweaters, basic t-shirts, a skirt and a couple of shoes.  I also plan to pick up a few beauty items because I've wanted one for a while now and it never goes on sale.

As always I'm very excited to cover the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! Stay tuned for an upcoming try-on session on my blog and various collages on my account as soon as the sale goes live on Wednesday, August.  And be sure to check back on this post as I update the blog with additional #nsale content over the next few weeks.

If you have any other questions, leave them in the comments! Who’s ready and excited?

Nordstrom Beauty Must-Haves for Summer

New bathing suit? Check! Cute beach tote? Check! Sunglasses? Check! Glowing skin? Ummmm??? With the heat and humidity that we’re having lately, you definitely don’t want to wear a full face of makeup this summer.  But that doesn’t mean you can’t look put together and polished with a little summer glow.

Today, I am super excited to partner with Nordstrom to share several of my favorite summer beauty must-haves with you all.  I usually buy the majority of my beauty products from Nordstrom because they offer huge selection of some of my favorite beauty brands like NARS, Chanel and MAC Cosmetics.  Nordstrom is usually my one-stop shop for just about anything! If I ever need to find an outfit, the new “it” handbag, a new pair of shoes or any new makeup, then I always head over to the Nordstrom website first.  I love that they offer a fun rewards program, they have an amazing return policy, and of course the shipping is always FREE!

In today's post, I'm rounding up 7 of my everyday Nordstrom Beauty Must-Haves plus a few tips for wearing makeup in the summer heat! These products are perfect for achieving that no-makeup look on a hot & sticky day or a full -ace look for that next big outing!  Although a few of these items I’m sharing have been my tried and true favorites for the past few years, I also trying out new items here and there and I can’t wait to share some new ones with you.  So let’s get into it!

1. Sunscreen

This beauty essential is necessary all year long not only in the summer months.  Since I’m in the sun a lot here in Florida, I wear sunscreen everyday under my foundation. I currently love the Smooth & Poreless Matte Screen Sunscreen from Supergoop. It’s great for daily use since its lightweight blends seamlessly into the skin for a non-greasy finish.  This sunscreen has SPF 40 with translucent formula that blurs pores and mattifies skin.

2. Tinted Moisturizer / Light Foundation

I usually just wear a light powder foundation on days that I don’t want anything too heavy on my face.  My go-to is the Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation by MAC Cosmetics. It is a one-step powder foundation that gives skin a smooth, even, all-matte finish with shine control.  I use the color NC 45 – Deep Bronze Peachy.

I haven’t tried out any tinted moisturizers yet, but I plan to try the Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer Broad Spectrum by NARS. I’ve also heard really good things about this Nude Finish Tinted Moisturizer by Bobbi Brown and the Tinted Moisture Natural Skin Perfector by Laura Mercier.

3. Concealer
No matter how much sleep I get, I have always had ready dark circles under my eyes. I’ve just accepted that and try to find the best concealers to blend into  my skin. The Radiant Creamy Concealer by NARS has been my favorite for a while now. It brightens, corrects and hydrates for a 16 hour wear.  I use the color Caramel.

Another concealer that I’ve been testing out lately is the Born This Way Super Coverage Multi-Use Concealer by Too Faced. It’s a multi-purpose concealer that contours, highlights and masks imperfections.

4. Bronzer

I just ran out of my bronzer, so I’m excited to try out the Airbrush Flawless Finish Bronzing Powder by Charlotte Tilbury. This formula was created to blend with the skin while blurring the appearance of any imperfections. The compact is about double size of your average bronzer, so it should last you a long time.  This bronzer comes in 4 shades and I’m trying out the shade 3 Tan, but I may need to try shade 4 Deep.

The bronzer that I just ran out of was the Bronzing Powder by NARS in the color Casino.

5. Mascara

I’ve tried out several different mascara’s and this is the Better Than Sex Mascara by Too Faced is one of the best ones out on the market. It lengthens and delivers full voluminous lashes with just one coat.

6. Lip Color

I always have to have something on my lips and have lipstick even if it’s a clear lip gloss. Lately I’ve been wearing a lot of lipsticks and glosses that make my lips feel moisturized. I’ve been wearing this Love Me Lipstick by MAC Cosmetics and I’m obsessed.  It’s an Argan oil-infused lipstick that delivers an instant hit of powerful color and all-day moisture.  I wear the color Coffee and Cigs.

For a more sheer look, then I love wearing the Addict Lip Glow Color Reviving Lip Balm by Dior.  And I also just noticed that they recently came out with the Addict Stellar Shine Collection just in time for summer.  It contains 4 iconic shades of this fabulous sheer and vibrant lipstick. This would make a perfect gift for the holidays.

7. Setting Spray
And last but certainly not least is my absolute favorite All Nighter Long-Lasting Setting Spray by Urban Decay.  This spray helps to set my makeup and keep everything looking fresh for up to 16 hours. They also offer a travel size, which is great to carry with you in your purse/makeup bag to freshen up if you need it.

So there you have it - 7 of my favorite beauty must-haves for summer with Nordstrom!  What are some of your current beauty obsessions?

Thank you Nordstrom for sponsoring this post!  All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Moody Picks: Fall Favorites Under $100

Happy Friday Friends! My favorite season of the year is just around the corner and I can't wait to finally wear all of my new fall pieces. I don't know about you guys but cooler weather, chunky sweaters, football season pumpkin spice everything really gets me excited for the fall season. Unfortunately for me, it's going to be a little while before things start cool down here in Florida. So in the meantime, I end up doing a lot of window shopping and outfit planning until then. I've found some really cute new arrivals lately, so I thought I would share some of my fall favorites under $100. These are classic pieces that you can mix & match and even layer. Check out all of my picks and some extra finds below & let me know what you think. Are you guys loving all of the mustard, rust and brown colors this season?

Moody Picks: Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2019 – Home Favorites

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is more than getting great deals on new fall fashion pieces.  It's also a great time to check out the home decor section for possible gift ideas. Every year, I always pick up one or two pieces like these candles or this plush throw to use as extra Christmas gifts.  Anyways, I wanted to put together a quick round up of a few of my favorite home decor pieces from the sale. Let me know what you think about my picks below.

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2019 - My Top 5 Picks & Try-on Haul

Good morning friends! The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is here for all cardholders and you finally get to shop the sale you’ve been hearing about for a few weeks now! This is the best time to stock up on closet staples and items that you will need during the fall season.  My favorite part of the sale is that you save a bunch of money on some items that never go on sale like any of the Barefoot Dreams throws and cardigans and Spanx Faux Leather Leggings. The only thing that I don’t love about the sale is that so many item sell out super FAST! So if you see something that catches your eye or if you’re on the fence about an item, then just grab it now and return it later!

Anyways, I wanted to put together a quick post that would be both helpful and informative for you instead of listing a bunch of items that you just don’t need. Below is a list of my top picks from the sale. These are items that will last you more than just the season and you can wear some of them now and transition well into fall/winter.  I have some of these pieces from last year and I'm very happy to say that I didn't need to buy too many items this year.

Here are my TOP 5 PICKS from the sale:

1. Pleated Midi Skirt - A beautiful staple piece that is very well made and fits perfectly (already sold out, but I found a cute amazon dupe HERE).

2. Barefoot Dreams In the Wild Throw - This throw never goes on sale, so this is the best time to buy one.  It's super soft, comfortable and worth the splurge.  I just bought one yesterday for the first time because I've alway wanted one.

3. Spanx Faux Leather Leggings - These are the best leggings out there and definitely the most popular.  These leggings rarely go on sale, so this is the best time to buy them. I bought my first pair last year and they really are worth the money.  They suck you in just at the right places.

4. Leopard Cardigan - I bought this sweater earlier this year and it sold out then.  So I was pretty happy to see them bring it back for the sale This will sell out pretty quickly during the sale because it's comfortable, the print is perfect and the price is under $50.

5. Booties - Every blogger has raved about these booties since the sale got started.  I ordered myself a pair because it looks like a really well made bootie.  I love the cut out style and the heel is pretty reasonable.  It comes in several other colors and even a couple snakeskin prints.  I'm pretty sure it will sell out as well.

Here are a few more pieces that I'm loving right now:

Next up is the try-on haul.  Yesterday, I stopped by the Nordstrom store at St. Johns Town Center to shop and I put together a fun styling session for you all.  I found a few items that I love and created a few outfits around those specific pieces.  I wanted to share you how you could wear certain pieces serval ways to get more bang for your buck.  Unfortunately my store doesn’t have a huge inventory, but I was able to create a few different looks with the items that were available. I will also upload this try-on haul via video on Instagram Stories and save to my Highlights, so you can view them when they expire. Let’s dive in to today’s Nordstrom Anniversary Sale try-on haul!

My Size Reference: I’m 5’7 and I typically wear size 6/28 jeans, small or mediums in tops and dresses.

I picked out this skirt because of the print of course and because of its versatility.  This is a skirt that you can definitely wear now and then continue to add layers to take you into the fall and winter season. I'm wearing a small in the skirt and it fits true to size.

Cardigan (small) / Lace Trim Cami (small) / Snakeskin Trim Wool Hat (sold out, but linking similar one here) / Pleated Skirt (small) (sold out, but linking a similar one here)

Chambray Shirt (small) / Lace Trim Cami (small) / Pleated Skirt (small) (sold out, but linking a similar one here)

Wool Blend Cardigan (small) / Stripe V-Neck Tee (small) / Pleated Skirt (small) (sold out, but linking a similar one here)

I missed out on these jeans last year, so I had to grab them.  I wanted to get a really good pair of jeans during the sale and this one does not disappoint.  It fits true to size - I'm wearing a 28 in these.  I have heard that it stretches out pretty easily and that you need to size down.  So if you're worried about that, then size down.  I love the style of these jeans - the high waist and button front is right up my alley.  They are also under $100.

This lace cami will probably sell out pretty quickly.  It's such a cute piece that you can wear alone with jeans or under a cardigan or blazer for work.  It comes in several colors and has adjustable straps. The price point is also good since it's only $25. I'm wearing a small in the camisole.
