Moody Style: Daytona Grid

Every once in a while  I swing into Anthropologie to check out the sale rack to see if something catches my eye.  Most of the time I walk out of the store empty handed, but other times I find a spectacular item that makes me want to spend my money no matter the price.  My trip is even more amazing when the item is in my size and under $50.00.  That’s what happened when I found this Yoanan Baraschi skirt a couple of months ago.  This skirt was the only one on the rack and it was in my size, so naturally I grabbed it and ran into the fitting room.  I'm pretty sure you guys know what happened next :)  I love the color and the grid pattern on the skirt and I can’t wait to style this skirt all sorts of ways.  I'm sure that you will see this again this fall/winter.

Moody Style: Camo and Stripes

Camouflage! You either love it or hate it.  Some people think it’s just a fashion trend that has invaded our favorite brands and others think that camo is a fad.  One thing is for sure is that you can't hide from camo this fall season because it’s everywhere.  And it doesn’t seem to be going out of style any time soon.  This trend continues to grow in popularity each year and designers are constantly updating the look in various colors, with neon trim and new accessories

Last year, I missed out on some great camo pieces when J.crew sold out of this shirt, this vest and these pants.  So, I was pretty happy that I was able to find this cute top from Target a few weeks ago.  And the best part was that it was less than $10.  Now all I need to do is find some camo pants with a great fit for a low price.   What are some of your favorite camo pieces?  Are you a fan of camo? Let me know in the comments.

Moody Style: Lace & Stripes

I love, love, love this Eva Franco Laced Strata dress that I wore out to dinner a few weeks ago. This is my first dress that I've owned from Eva Franco and I’m very impressed with the fit and quality. The dress is form fitting and flared at the waist creating the perfect hourglass figure.  This dress is flirty and feminine and doesn’t require too many accessories because the dress speaks for itself. The fabric is heavy and is perfect for cooler weather, but it also works in the warmer months.  I'm so happy that I grabbed this dress when I did - it's my new favorite.  Do any of you have this dress or the black and white version? Do you have a favorite dress in your closet that fits you perfectly?  Let me know.  I hope that you guys have a great week!

Moody Style: Fruity Fashion

As many of you may have noticed this summer on the fashion blogs and Instagram, fruits on clothing commanded our attention this season.  In particular, pineapples were the “it” fruit and they have never been so chic. I’m not sure why pineapples reigned supreme as the summer fruit over strawberries, cherries or even watermelons, but it sure has made this summer more playful. I personally have fallen in love with this summer’s fruity trend.  I found myself buying at least a couple of pineapple shirts and I can’t get enough of them.  What do you guys think about this fruity trend? Have you fallen in love with any other fruits this summer? Let me know in the comments.

What I Wore to BlogHer14

As you know I attended BlogHer ’14 conference at the end of July.  Check out part 1, part 2 and part 3 for the recap of my experience during the conference.   I made sure that I dressed in layers and I brought a jacket along just in case the conference rooms got too cold.  I loved all of my outfits, but my shoes were a different story.  If could do it all over again, I would have brought my flats with me to each of the sessions.  At the end of cach day, my feet were screaming in my heels.  Well, here is a quick recap of the outfits that I wore during my trip.  Let me know what you guys think!

Moody Style: Orange Crush

Although I haven’t seen an episode, I agree with the title that orange is the new black.  This fiery hue was spotted all over the runway for spring 2014 and it’s a perfect to transition into the summer.  I’m not sure when my orange crush started, but I’ve always loved this lively color. It’s vibrant, energetic and flattering on everyone.  So when this dress went on sale, I made sure I grabbed it the first chance that I got.  It’s been one of my go to dresses this summer whether it’s for work, a nice dinner or church.  I love that the scallop detailing along the neckline adds a little character to this dress.  Do any of you have an orange crush? What’s your favorite piece of orange clothing that you have in your closet or would like to have in your closet?  Let me know in the comments.

Moody Style: Scalloped Peplum

I love the black and white windowpane print on this adorable peplum top.  It’s so easy to pair it with any bright solid color like I did here.  I can’t wait to wear it with red, hot pink or a bright green.  I also love the scalloped detail at the bottom of the top and around the little cutout on the back.  I forgot to take a picture of the cutout, but it was a major selling point for me.  Check it out on Anthropologie’s website to see the details.

Moody Style: Polka Dot Jumpsuit

I almost forgot about this jumpsuit until I saw another blogger posted an OOTD on Instagram.  Don’t you just love Instagram?  I have to admit that I’ve become a little addicted to this app and I think I got my sister addicted as well.   It serves as a reminder tool as well as an enabler system.  A handful of my purchases have been based on some Instagram posts, which I need to get a handle of soon. My closet is in serious need of a clean out since it’s busting at the seam due to all of the great sales at J.Crew and Anthropologie lately.  Have any of you sold any of your treasured pieces via your blog, eBay, Instagram or Poshmark?  Did you have any luck selling your clothes?  Which one got the best responses? Let me know in the comments.

Moody Style: Contrasting Stripes

eShakti contacted me recently to do a product review of one of their amazing pieces.  Of course I had to say yes right away.  I had the opportunity to pick out my out item and I naturally went for a cute summer dress that I think I could wear a majority of the year.

When I picked out my dress, I had the option of selecting from the standard numerical size chart or the option to customize my size for an additional $7.50.  I picked out my size from the standard size chart based on the measurements listed.  However, I opted to add the custom styling to my order to adjust the length of the dress.  I was a little worried that the dress could be a little short, so I was pretty happy about this option.

I received my dress via DHL within a couple of weeks from placing my order.  The dress fit me perfectly and the length was perfect for my height.  I wouldn’t change anything else. Overall, I’m very happy with my experience with eShakti.  This is my first purchase from eShakti, but it will not be my last! I’ve been eyeing a few pieces the website lately like here, here, here and here.  I love how fun, flirty and chic everything is on the website.  And the prices are pretty decent as well.

If you guys are interested in making your first eShakti purchase, here is a coupon code exclusively for my readers.  Use 'moodystyles' in the promotional code box to get 10% off when you shop at eShakti.  This offer is valid until August 22, 2014.  If you are new to eShakti’s website, you can get a $25 credit, when you sign up today.  Have any of you ordered anything from eShakti before?  How was your experience?  Let me know in the comments.
