Moody Style: Cozy Sunday Style

Happy Sunday Friends!  So I think I’m going to start posting my IG posts on the blog as soon as I add it them Instagram. Let me know if you like this format better or if you would rather see them in an Instagram Roundup instead.

I’m really loving the cold weather over the past few days.  Mostly because I finally have an opportunity to wear my winter pieces without sweating to death.  I believe that the highs for today were only in the mid 40's, which isn’t horrible to most of you, but that’s pretty cold here in Florida.  How's the weather lately where you live? Anyways, hope you all are staying warm and that you all had a beautiful Sunday!

Moody Style: Lace & Stripes

I love, love, love this Eva Franco Laced Strata dress that I wore out to dinner a few weeks ago. This is my first dress that I've owned from Eva Franco and I’m very impressed with the fit and quality. The dress is form fitting and flared at the waist creating the perfect hourglass figure.  This dress is flirty and feminine and doesn’t require too many accessories because the dress speaks for itself. The fabric is heavy and is perfect for cooler weather, but it also works in the warmer months.  I'm so happy that I grabbed this dress when I did - it's my new favorite.  Do any of you have this dress or the black and white version? Do you have a favorite dress in your closet that fits you perfectly?  Let me know.  I hope that you guys have a great week!

Moody Style: Orange Crush

Although I haven’t seen an episode, I agree with the title that orange is the new black.  This fiery hue was spotted all over the runway for spring 2014 and it’s a perfect to transition into the summer.  I’m not sure when my orange crush started, but I’ve always loved this lively color. It’s vibrant, energetic and flattering on everyone.  So when this dress went on sale, I made sure I grabbed it the first chance that I got.  It’s been one of my go to dresses this summer whether it’s for work, a nice dinner or church.  I love that the scallop detailing along the neckline adds a little character to this dress.  Do any of you have an orange crush? What’s your favorite piece of orange clothing that you have in your closet or would like to have in your closet?  Let me know in the comments.

Moody Style: Before the Chill

As I mentioned the other day, I was down in south Florida for several days where the weather was exceptionally warm.  Boy what a difference a few days makes.  By Thursday afternoon, I felt the winds pick up and the temperature drop each hour. I’m happy that the weather has finally gotten cooler again, so I can get some wear out of my sweaters and jackets.   Anyways, here’s a quick look at one of my outfits that I wore to work last week.   I also plan to post the winner of the contest by tomorrow night.  Thanks to everyone who participated.

Earrings: Pearls (old); Necklace: Coach Sterling Rondells Pendant Necklace;

Moody Style: Short and Simple

The title of this post describes this bright cobalt blue dress perfectly.  It’s a classic style dress that is appropriate for both work and then play in the evenings.  I was lucky to score this dress on sale recently and I also received the 25% off discount on the sale price.  I can definitely see this dress becoming one of my go to dresses for the rest of the year.  I’m especially looking forward to wearing this little number to work one day at my new job.  That’s right folks – you read this correctly.  I just accepted a job offer last week and I start in about a week.  Some of you have read about me taking on more work over the last 3 months, working late hours and undergoing additional stress at my job. Although these changes were recent, the truth is that I hadn’t been truly happy working there for a while.  The whole environment was getting unbearable and I had become miserable.  Like many other people, I felt trapped and I certainly couldn’t quit my job on the spot.  So, I created an action plan to find a new job and create my own destiny.  With that being said, I’m looking forward to starting this new venture and I can’t wait to start!  Have you ever been in a similar situation? Did you grin and bear it or did you leave your job?  Let me know.
