Moody Style: Old Navy Try-On Haul

I finally had a chance to upload my Old Navy Try-On Haul from this past weekend.  The store had a major sale going on at the time, so I was able to rack up on a few great deals.  But let’s face it, they always have a great promotion running and the prices are always affordable.  And I have a feeling that with all of the holidays coming up, that we’re going to be in store for a ton of amazing deals. Anyways, here are the details for my outfits below. Check them out and let me know what you think.  For sizing reference, I am 5’7” and I wear a small in my tops and size 6 or 8 in my pants/denim.

OUTFIT #1

Mock-Turtleneck SweaterHigh-Rise Rockstar Skinny Jeans / Sueded Ankle Boots

This Mock-Turtleneck Sweater has been a Hot Deal lately and keeps selling out.  It fits true to size and it's super soft. I'm wearing a small here. Also, please note that the jeans and boots in all of the photos, are not the exact ones listed here. I was able to find similar pieces for you all in order to complete the look.

OUTFIT #2

Relaxed Classic Soft-Brushed Twill Shirt / Cable-Knit Crewneck Sweater

High-Rise Rockstar Skinny Jeans / Sueded Ankle Boots

One wardrobe staple that I can't live without is a classic plaid shirt.  If you ever saw my closet, then you know I'm obsessed.  This holiday print is perfect and it's easy to layer because of all of the colors in the plaid.  I paired it with this red cable-knit sweater, but it would also look amazing with this striped sweater.  I'm wearing a small in the shirt and the sweater.

OUTFIT #3

Relaxed Twill Tunic ShirtHigh-Rise Rockstar Skinny Jeans / Sueded Ankle Boots

I fell in love with this plaid tunic mostly because it's long enough to wear with leggings. It's a relaxed fit shirt and fits true to size.  I'm wearing a small here and it's just a touch snug around my hips, but I plan to unbutton the last button to make it work. I could have gone up a size, but worried that the medium would be too big.

OUTFIT #4

Relaxed Classic Soft-Brushed Twill Shirt / Lightweight Quilted Vest

High-Rise Rockstar Skinny Jeans / Sueded Ankle Boots

This twill shirt fits exactly the same as the holiday plaid print above.  I'm wearing a small in this one as well.  I layered it with this lightweight vest to change the look and add some warmth on a cool day. This vest comes in 7 colors and the fit is slightly fitted. You could size up for a related fit.

OUTFIT #5

Relaxed Plaid Crepe Top / Lightweight Quilted Vest

High-Rise Rockstar Skinny Jeans / Sueded Ankle Boots

This buffalo plaid print top is just the cutest.  It comes in 4 plaid patterns and it's perfect for a baby bump or hiding some Thanksgiving turkey.  This top can be dress up or dressed down and still look amazing like it does with the quilted vest.

OUTFIT #6

Waist-Defined Ruffle-Trim Faux-Wrap Georgette Dress

I wasn't sure that I was going to like this dress on me, but as soon as I put it on I fell in love.  It's such a flattering cut that would compliment all body types.  This dress fits true to size and I'm wearing a small.

OUTFIT #7

Slim-Fit Rib-Knit Henley / Super-Long Open-Font Heavyweight Sweater

High-Rise Rockstar Skinny Jeans / Sueded Ankle Boots

I love it when I find a good henley that's flattering enough to wear alone as well as a layering piece.  This waffle knit top comes in 5 colors and it fits slightly fitted through the body.  I sized up to a medium because the small was a little too snug. This open-front sweater reminds me of the Kent Cardigan from Madewell, but at a fraction of the price.  This cardigan comes in 4 colors and the quality is pretty amazing.  I'm wearing a small here.

OUTFIT #8

Slim-Fit Rib-Knit Henley / Plaid Open-Font Sweater

High-Rise Rockstar Skinny Jeans / Sueded Ankle Boots

I mentioned that in my Instagram stories that I love this plaid swear, but I have a similar one from last year.  This cardigan also comes in a grey/black plaid pattern and it will be perfect for the holidays.  This sweater fits true to size and I'm swearing a small here.

OUTFIT #9

Relaxed Plush-Knit Tee / Open-Font Cardi-Coat Sweater

High-Rise Rockstar Skinny Jeans / Sueded Ankle Boots

I randomly found this cardi-coat sweater in my size tucked behind a few dresses and I couldn't have been more excited. This sweater fits like an oversized coat and fits true to size. I'm impressed by the quality and the thickness of this sweater.  This sweater is so good that it keeps selling out, but keep checking back to see if it gets restocked.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Hope that you found this try-on haul helpful!

Moody Picks: What I Bought During the After Party Sale

Happy Tuesday and happy second day of the Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale.  As you know, the sale started online yesterday morning and it will end on promptly on Wednesday at 11:59pm.  I don't know about you, but this sale is pretty much the only time I buy any Lilly Pulitzer pieces because the prices are usually too expensive. The great thing about the sale is that you can save anywhere from 30% to almost 70% off of colorful tops, pants, dresses and so much more.

This year, the markdowns have been really good and especially reasonable.  I'm honestly surprised that there are a ton of items still left.  I've literally been stalking the site every few hours just to make sure I didn't miss anything that I might "need."  Which is crazy since I already made two in-store purchases on Sunday and two separate online purchases yesterday.  If you looked at my closet right now, then it would be pretty obvious to you that I don't need to purchase anything else from the sale. So I'll continue to window shop, but if you haven’t checked out the sale yet, then you should cause you have one more day to shop.

Anyways, I wanted to share with you all a quick list of the pieces that I bought during the sale: Meridian Midi Dress ($49), UPF 50+ Skipper Printed Popover ($69), Carlotta Stretch Shift Dress ($69), Melody Maxi Dress ($99), Jane Shift Dress ($79), Garment Bag ($49) and a set of Stemless Wine Glasses ($19).

Are you planning on shopping the sale this year?  If so, let me know what items you have your eye on.  And if you already shopped the sale, then let's chat about your purchases in the comments below!
