Fresh Picks to Follow – Mother’s Day Gift Guide

Happy Saturday everyone!  I hope that you all are having a wonderful weekend so far. I’m currently at my local car dealership waiting for an oil change.  This is one my most dreaded chores that I have to deal with on the weekends…luckily it’s only every 5,000 miles.  I really hope that I only have to wait for the hour and fifteen minutes that they quoted me. Later today, I’m meeting up with my mother to treat her to lunch for Mother’s Day and do a little shopping.  I’m really looking forward to spending some time with my mom.  Have you figured out what to get your mother for Mother’s day yet?  No?  Well I’ve created a mother’s day gift guide for all of you that struggle to find the right gift for your mom.  I always have a tough time figuring out what to get my mother because she literally has everything.  It gets harder and harder each year to be more creative than the last.  Anyways, check out my top 10 Mother’s Day gift ideas for this week’s Fresh Picks to Follow.  How do you plan to celebrate your mother this year? Let me know!

Moody Style: A Sunny Climate

Hi everyone!  I hope that you all had a wonderful weekend and that you are off to a great start so far this week.   I just wanted to post a few pictures of one of the outfits that I wore while visiting Savannah.  Can you believe that this was the first time that I wore the dress?  I don’t know it took me so long to wear it before now.  I really love how bright and cheery the dress makes me look.  It’s a pretty, feminine dress perfect for the summer.  And I think that the little birds all over the yellow skirt really adds a little something extra to the look.  Did any of you buy this dress last year? What do you think about this dress?

Travel: Savannah Getaway

Last weekend, my sisters and I took our mother to Savannah for a pre-Mother’s day weekend getaway.  My mother had been dying to go there for years now, so we decided that last weekend would be the best time because of our schedules.  My mother’s sole purpose of going to Savannah was to visit Paula Dean’s restaurant, Lady and Sons.  We had so many things on our agenda for the weekend it was hard to imagine that we would get it all done.  We bought tickets for one of the trolley tours and saw most of the historic highlights; we went to River Street, checked out several restaurants like Huey’s, Salt Water Grill and Zunzi’s.  We also checked out the 31st Annual SCAD Sidewalk Arts Festival and of course we hit up Broughton Street and Bull Street for some shopping.  Here are some pictures of the weekend – Enjoy!
