So I decided to experiment with my hair
this past week and I took the plunge to wear my hair natural. I’ve wanted to do
this for a long time, but I was really nervous about what my hair would look
like. I was also worried about styling limitations
due to the length of my hair. I watched
a ton of YouTube videos and checked out a ton of blogs and found a style that
fit me perfectly. I wore this twist out style
for a week and really I loved it. I felt
confident, free and a little sassy. However,
while I loved my new do, I realized that it’s not the best style for me right
now. As I’ve mentioned on my blog
before, my job requires me to travel quite a bit and at this point I need a
style that is quick and easy for my lifestyle.
This week, I decided to go back to my braids again because frankly it’s
easier to manage and style. I’m pretty
sure that I’ll eventually come back to this look sooner rather than later, but
I have to do some more research on alternate hair styles before I can fully
commit. Have any of you experimented
with your hair? Whether it be a new color, a cut or a new style that you weren’t
real sure about? Did you change it right
away or did you continue to rock it and just deal with it? Let me know in the comments.

ReplyDeleteHi Natasha, I love you hair! I wrote to you a while ago on advice on braids last year. I wore my hair like you for a while and went natural 6 months ago via locs and I absolutely love it!
ReplyDeleteSiri.
Thanks Siri...I'm so happy to hear from you. I'm glad to hear that you went natural. I've been watching so many YouTube videos over the past two weeks. I'm think ready to do it, but I need some more hairstyle ideas. I hope to really commit to it next year.
DeleteI am loving your new hair do! You can always retwist into bigger twist while you are traveling and use hair pins to place your hair into an up do. There are so many styles you can do to make traveling easy for you and your hair.
ReplyDeleteAnd those boots are hot!
