One of the highlights of my San Francisco
trip was having chance to explore Muir Woods National Monument. The star attraction in this National Monument
is the magnificent coastal redwood forest. These majestic coastal redwood
trees are so tall and slender, that I felt like the size of an ant when I stood
next to them. The tallest coastal redwood at Muir Woods is about 258 feet,
approximately the height of a six-foot person stacked head to toe 45 times. And
the average age ranges anywhere from 600 to 800 years old. I’m extremely glad I got a
chance to visit this national landmark. I think that this park should be on the top of everyone’s list of things to do when visiting San
Francisco. Have any of you been to
Muir Woods yet? Let me know in comments.
***Side Note: I know that I’m a little more dressed up than the average person going to the park. This visit was a last minute addition to our day.
