Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2020 Early Access

Hey Friends - it’s that time of year again! The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is finally here. This is the best time to check out all of the new fall styles for the season and stock up on some wardrobe basics and splurge-worthy pieces like boots, jackets, handbags and high-end denim. And you save up to 40% off discounts on brands like SPANX, Sam Edelman, Tory Burch, Free People, Madewell, North Face and so much more!  Just like last year, I want to give you all a quick run-down of all of the details that you need to know to be fully prepared to shop without any hassles.

Nordstrom is doing things a little differently this year due to the COVID-19 situation.  Instead of canceling the event altogether, they decided to push the date back until August 19th.  And they added more time to shop for their loyal cardholders.  Here is the timeline for cardmember access and you can find out your access level by logging into your Nordstrom account. 

DATES YOU NEED TO KNOW

HOW TO SHOP EARLY ACCESS

The best way to shop the sale before everything sells out is making sure that you have Early Access.  Nordstrom Cardholders have the opportunity to shop the sale about 2 weeks earlier than everyone else. But don't worry if you don't have a Nordstrom card, because the sale is open to the public on August 19th and some of the item will be restocked.

If you don’t already have a Nordstrom Credit Card, then you will need to sign up here to gain early access. And if you apply for the Nordstrom Card before July 10th, then you will get a $60 bonus note that can be used at a later time. 

SHOPPING STRATEGY

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale can be very overwhelming, especially if you don’t have a plan in place.  I think number one thing that you should do is to assess your fall wardrobe and make a list of items that you need to add/replace in your closet. And the second thing that would be helpful is to set an overall budget for yourself.  It’s super easy to get swept up in the excitement of the sale, believe me I know.  I’ve bought and returned a plenty of items in the past that weren’t within my budget and that I ultimately didn’t need.  

Pro Tip: Buy Now, Return Later - With that being said, don’t be afraid to order multiples sizes since some items sell out really fast and the shipping/return is free.  Be sure to focus on items that you use regularly and take advantage of stocking up on wardrobe basics and any home items.  This is also a good time to start thinking of holiday gifts.

VIRTUAL CATALOG PREVIEW

The best way to get ready for the sale and to know what's included in the sale is to take a sneak peek of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2020 Preview! This virtual catalog will make it easier to review and shop all of the items that are available and you can save all of your favorites to your wishlist. Having all of the items in your wishlist will make it easier to check out when you're ready. Here are my top picks that I have my eye on so far.  Some of them I already own and there are few already on my wishlist:

WHAT SHOULD I BUY?

I’ve been shopping the Anniversary Sale for a few years now and I’ve noticed that Nordstrom tends to bring back some of the same items.  They may tweek an item here and there, but for the most part some are the same like these High-waisted Zella Leggings, this super soft Plush Throw, the Spanx Faux Leather Leggings, this Madewell Kent Cardigan Sweater and the infamous Barefoot Dreams In the Wild Throw.  

This year I plan to be very focused on things that I need to replace in my closet and a few items that I missed out on last year.  I plan to look for a really good pair of jeans, a couple of sweaters, basic t-shirts, a skirt and a couple of shoes.  I also plan to pick up a few beauty items because I've wanted one for a while now and it never goes on sale.

OMG…you guys! The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale – Early Access opened up today to all cardholders and believe me when I tell you that you won’t be disappointed.  The best items and sizes will sell out quickly, so if you are a cardholder be sure to order your favorites as soon as possible.

If you’re not a cardholder and you want to get in on the fun and get some amazing deals early, then register for a Nordstrom card HERE.  You will have the option of choosing between opening up a Nordstrom credit card or debit card.  Once you have the card, then you’re ready to starting shopping.

If you don’t plan to become a cardholder and you want to wait until the sale opens up to the public on July 22^nd, then just bookmark some of your favorites for later. And remember here’s a few Nordstrom perks for future shopping trips:

• Nordstorm ships everything for free.  Returns are also painless – you can return your online purchases either in the store or mailing the return back for free.
• If something isn’t available in your size in the store or online, they will do their best to track it down and ship it to you for free! This store has the best customer service I’ve ever seen – I’ve never had a bad experience. 
• With Nordstrom Rewards, you earn 1 point for every $1 spent and once you earn 2000 points you get a $20 Nordstrom Note to use on future purchases.

Moody Picks – Nordstrom Anniversary Sale: Top 12 Favorites

I previously wrote about my excitement for the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale HERE, but I wanted to add a quick follow up post. I finally had the opportunity to shop in the store on Sunday and boy was I in for a real treat.  I had no idea that early access sale items were going to be sectioned off within the store. It was helpful to see all of the sale pieces in a designated space. And all of the sales associates were super friendly and accommodating. I found so many other great finds and I tried on a bunch of clothes. I didn’t get everything I tried on the other day because my bank account wouldn’t have liked that. So I wanted to share with all of you a mixture of some of the goodies that I bought and some that I sadly left behind.  I created a list for both summer and fall – so check them out below!

Don’t forget that the Early Access Sale runs until July 16^th for cardholders and the sale will be available to everyone else from July 17^th thru August 2^nd. Moody Picks – Nordstrom Anniversary Sale: Early Access

I’m super excited because the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is finally here and just in time to save big on brand-new fall arrivals. Known by fashionistas as one of the best sales around, the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale offers discounts to some world’s top designers. The sale starts July 17, 2015 through August 2, 2015; however, if you are a Nordstrom Rewards member you can beat the crowds and start shopping today with the Early Access Sale. 

The Early Access Sale starts today and runs until July 16th allowing you to get the styles and sizes that you want before everyone else. But you have to act fast because the sizes will sell out and the prices will return to their normal rate on August 3, 2015. If you don’t have a Nordstrom credit or debit card, then I encourage you to sign up for one here.  During this sale all cardholders will receive double point on all purchases, which will get you one step closer to earning a $20 Nordstrom Note (another added cardholder bonus).

I’ve picked out a few of my favorites so far that I would love to add to my wardrobe.  I didn’t buy much at the Half Yearly Sale, but I plan to make up for it with this sale.
