Moody Style: Bright Poppies

Happy Hump Day! Even though I had to work on Monday, I still took some time to head to the mall to indulge in some of the great deals on Labor Day. I tried not to get in too much trouble myself because let’s face it - I’ve got enough clothes.  And that’s a huge understatement.  I actually went through my closet this weekend to figure out what I no longer needed and what I could no longer fit into anymore.  Right now I have 2 big bags of clothes ready to drop off at a local Goodwill or Salvation Army.  I also have a smaller bag of clothes that I’m considering selling on my blog in the future.  I haven’t figured that part out yet, but I’ll definitely let you all know when I do.  Anyways, this outfit is all I bought on Monday.  I love the bright colorful poppy blooms and I’m looking forward to the many outfits I can create because of its versatility.   Did any of you go shopping this weekend?  Did you guys get some goodies at Anthropologie with the extra 25% off savings? What about shopping at J. Crew with the surprise extra 30% off savings? I'd love to hear all about it in the comments.

Moody Style: Laboring Away

Happy Monday and Happy Labor Day.  I hope that everyone had fun and relaxing weekend.  Unfortunately for me, I had work today so I didn’t get to travel anywhere fun.  Now before you start feeling sorry for me, just know that I’m not totally broken up about the day.  I learned last week that I’m getting a floating holiday to use at my leisure, so I’ll still get a day off.  I’ve already decided that I’m going to use it this Friday and I can’t wait.  I figure that at this point, I can’t complain too much about working this holiday.  I’ve only been working at this job a little over a month now.  And I’m just thankful to have a job period especially with so many people out of work right now. What did you do for Labor Day? Did you do anything fun?  I'd love to hear all about it in the comments.

Fresh Picks to Follow – Twinkle Toes

I have to admit something to you all.  Lately I’ve been obsessing over lots of shoes with glitter, rhinestones and sequins.  I’ve been checking out these shoes in the stores and on the Internet and I just haven’t grabbed a pair.  These days, you can easily find sparkly shoes made with glitter anywhere from $40 to 60 or more expensive shoes made with Austrian crystals anywhere from $500 to $3,000.00.  And even if you can’t afford to spend money on this shoe trend, there are plenty of DIY videos to help you customize your own twinkle toes. I don’t own a pair of any of these yet, but I’m definitely going to add a pair to my collection, even if I have to make a pair myself.  For this week’s Fresh Picks to Follow, here are my top 10 favorite shoes that sparkle.  Have any of you already incorporated this shoe trend in your closet?  Let me know in the comments.
