Anthropologie Fitting Room Reviews

Hi everyone – I hope that everyone had a wonderful weekend.  I was off from work on Monday in observance of Veteran’s Day.  So, I was able to enjoy a 3 day weekend where I met up with friends and got some well-needed rest.  Also over the weekend, I had a chance to try on a bunch of clothes at Anthropologie and I wanted to share all of them with you.  Here is part one of my review.  Have you tried on any of these pieces or did you buy them?  Let me know in the comments.
I tried on this dress in a medium (M) and it fits TTS.   The Bailey 44 camp came up with another perfect dress for the fall.  Which turns out to be very similar to the Over and Under dress made over the summer.  This dress only comes in 2 colors – blue and red, which are both a little muted. I tried on the red today, but it looks like orange in person. I kind of wish that there were more color options – something a little bolder and brighter.  This figure flattering dress drapes and moves effortlessly and would look great on all body types.  I’ve added this dress to my wish list for now, but I’m secretly hoping that they will have more colors later in the year.  Thumbs Up!

I really love this simple, but beautiful silk dress made by Lil.  This dress comes in 3 colors, which include   green, pink and black.  My store only had the green dress in stock, so I tried it on.  I love the thick waistband and I love how the back ties really accentuate the waistline.  I tried on this dress in a small (S) and I found that it was TTS.  This dress is definitely added to my wish list, but I’m going to look out for the black one instead.  I have way too many green dresses in my closet.  Thumbs Up!

I tried on this sweatercoat in a small (S) and it fits TTS.  In fact, the style of the jacket is form fitted and not in a bad way.  I loved how it hugged my body and I think that the neckline draped beautifully on me.  I plan to wear this sweater with a lightweight tank top or tee shirt underneath it, but not much else.   This sweater only comes in a deep navy blue color, which I love.  This sweater is on the top of my wish list.  I’m really hoping that Santa will send me a couple of gift cards this holiday season. Thumbs Up!

This is a classic blazer with a little twist on the collar.  The pleats add a little something extra to the look of this blazer.  This jacket comes in two colors, which includes turquoise and grey.  I tried on this blazer in the turquoise color and in my normal size - a size (4).  I liked the look of the jacket and it fit pretty TTS.  After I tried on this blazer on in the fitting room, I didn’t love it anymore.  There wasn’t anything particular that did it for me, it just felt a little blah once I had it on.  This one’s going back to the rack for me.  Thumbs Down!

This velvet blazer is beautiful structured jacket.  I tried on the wine colored blazer in a small (S) and it fit TTS.  This blazer will compliment any dress, skirt and even a pair of jeans.  The blazer is only offered in the wine color, which is fine, but I wish it were offered in black or navy as well.  This blazer gets thumbs up from me and I’m adding it to my wish list.  Thumbs Up!

Who doesn’t love this skirt?  Isn’t it amazing?  I tried this on in a size (6) and it fit perfectly.  From the moment that I had it on, I felt like Carrie Bradshaw in a Sex and the City episode.  While this skirt is super cute and would be fabulous at any upcoming holiday party, I don’t think that I will be picking this one up any time soon. I’ll have to wait until this one goes on sale.  This is on my wish list for sure. Thumbs Up!

Moody Style: In the Woods

One of the highlights of my San Francisco trip was having chance to explore Muir Woods National Monument.  The star attraction in this National Monument is the magnificent coastal redwood forest.  These majestic coastal redwood trees are so tall and slender, that I felt like the size of an ant when I stood next to them. The tallest coastal redwood at Muir Woods is about 258 feet, approximately the height of a six-foot person stacked head to toe 45 times. And the average age ranges anywhere from 600 to 800 years old. I’m extremely glad I got a chance to visit this national landmark.  I think that this park should be on the top of everyone’s list of things to do when visiting San Francisco.  Have any of you been to Muir Woods yet? Let me know in comments.

***Side Note:  I know that I’m a little more dressed up than the average person going to the park.  This visit was a last minute addition to our day.
