In the Mood – Now This Is Plaid // Target Style

I have to say I’m pretty excited for Target’s plaid takeover this fall and I can’t wait to see everything in person.  I recently learned that Target has teamed up with the New York-based designer, Adam Lippes, for a collaboration of his interpretation of Buffalo plaid.  The collaboration with Target will include more than 50 items in women’s and men’s apparel, shoes, accessories and home décor items. The mad for plaid collection will be available in select Target stores and on Target.com beginning Sept. 27th.  I’ve already checked out the lookbook and picked out some of my favorite pieces so far.  Based on what I’ve seen, it’s safe to say that Target stores will be very busy with this fun, fashionable pattern. Moody Monday – Plaid Scarves

Over the past few years, plaid blanket scarves have become so popular that they are now considered a fall essential.  I don’t know about you, but I’m counting down the days that I get cozy up in one of these once the weather finally gets cooler.  I’m sure that many have seen some of your favorite bloggers rocking old Zara blanket scarves and you may have been trying to track them down. Moody Picks – Falling for Fringe

The first trend that I wanted to talk about is fringe. The fringe trend is still going strong this year probably because it’s one of the easiest and most versatile looks to wear. There are simple fringe styles for an everyday look and some wild and modern styles for a weekend or an evening look. If you don’t think that you may be ready to wear a whole fringe outfit, then try wearing one piece at a time like a skirt or a sweater. Or you can keep the outfit simple with jeans and a tee and work in some fringe accessories like a pair of boots, a scarf or a purse. What do you think about this trend? Moody Picks – Falling Into Fall

As much as I don’t want to admit it, summer will be officially over before we know it.  I mean seriously – it’s really soon.  Mark your calendars because the first day of fall is next Wednesday, September 23rd.  Even though the weather doesn’t get cooler here in Florida for another couple of months, I’m really looking forward to the fall weather and of course fall fashion.
